Lincoln Literacy is hiring a versatile, culturally adept, and organizationally talented person to serve as our coordinator of services to refugees from Ukraine. The successful candidate will be fluent in Ukrainian (or Russian), well informed about Ukrainian culture and current events, able to earn the trust of recently arrived refugees and to assess, advise, and place them into classes that will aid in their adjustment to life in Lincoln. The job involved recruitment of potential new students from Ukraine, assessment, advising and planning, some interpretation and direct instruction, excellent record-keeping, reporting, and working in a collaborative team environment.
This is a part-time position with flexible hours and a negotiable schedule. Some early evening work is required. There's a mix of online and in-person duties.
