Lincoln Literacy is hiring a versatile, culturally adept, and organizationally talented person to serve as our coordinator of services to refugees from Afghanistan. The successful candidate will be fluent in Dari and Pashto, well-informed about Afghan culture and current events, and able to earn the trust of recently arrived refugees and assess, advise, and place them into classes that will aid in their adjustment to life in Lincoln. The job involves recruitment of potential new students from Afghanistan, assessment, advising and planning, some interpretation and direct instruction, excellent record-keeping, reporting, and working in a collaborative team environment.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours and a negotiable schedule. Some early evening work may be required. There's a mix of online and in-person duties.
