Lincoln Literacy Internships, Fall 2022
If you want a shot at one of the most enriching internships available, consider spending 8-10 hours a week with Lincoln Literacy this fall. If selected, you'll be trained to teach English as an instructor in online and in-person, small-group classes of refugees and immigrants. You'll be part of an international team at one of Lincoln's most respected nonprofits. Schedule can usually be individualized to accommodate other activities, such as school and employment. This is a paid internship.
Part-time Van Driver
Drive our passenger van Monday and Wednesday, 4:30 - 8:30 p.m., to pick up refugee and immigrant students and their children, bringing them to classes, and then taking them home. Classes run 6:00 - 7:30 p.m., and the driver may remain on site and be paid for the duration. Requirements: Nebraska driver's license, clean driving record, enough English for basic communication with staff and students. We're looking for someone reliable who can remain calm in stressful situations and deal well with people of many cultures. Pay is $13.80 per hour. Job is temporary, Aug. - Dec., but could become regular in future.

Lincoln Literacy, a private, nonprofit organization, is seeking a dynamic, creative leader to oversee business operations, budgeting, fundraising and program development.
