Legacy for Literacy

Make a lasting difference by leaving a Legacy for Literacy.

For nearly fifty years, Lincoln Literacy has provided a continuum of literacy skills to those in our community. Thanks to the generosity of our volunteer tutors with their talent and our supporters with their contributions, we are able to provide opportunities for others to learn the English language, earn their GED or citizenship, gain occupational skills, find jobs with local employers, navigate financial, medical, and housing processes, support their families and achieve their dreams.

Through planned giving, your contributions outlast a lifetime and impact generations to come. To name but one example, the late Judge Warren Urbom and his wife Joyce were outstanding tutors of citizenship. They helped dozens of immigrants become knowledgeable U.S citizens. Their bequest keeps their legacy alive in support of citizenship classes.
