Lincoln Literacy 50th Anniversary Gala

Since 1972, Lincoln Literacy has been working to teach English language and literacy skills to homegrown Nebraskans and to new Americans alike. We'll celebrate this year's fundraising gala in recognition of our 50th anniversary. Throughout the evening, we'll enjoy social time, international cuisine, speakers, and entertainment at the Gala. Everyone is welcome.

The 50th Anniversary celebration will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, at The Gala, 2602 Park Blvd.

The proceeds from the event will go to help our Lincoln community and especially the refugees, immigrants, and homegrown Americans who need skills for jobs in our community. These funds will support the many skill-building classes Lincoln Literacy provides, helping children succeed in school and their parents to fill jobs that might otherwise go vacant.

Tickets are available to buy online for $50 each. We also welcome credit card payment over the phone, cash, or checks. (Please bring or mail to 745 South 9th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508). If you and your friends buy an entire table of 10, everyone at the table will receive a complimentary drink ticket.

Sponsorships range from $1,000 to $5,000. 

If a sponsorship doesn’t fit within your plans, we also accept and publicly acknowledge event donations of any amount. All ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations are tax-deductible.
