Leave the gift of literacy today and for the future.

With over 180 volunteer tutors, 1,405 students, and 100+ classes at 12 locations, Lincoln Literacy has continued to strengthen our community by teaching English Language and a variety of literacy skills to others for 50 years. More ways to give

Tax-free from your IRA

Generally, when you take a distribution from your IRA, it is treated as taxable income, and as you age, drawdowns become mandatory. However the provision referred to as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows retirees who are age 70½ and older to donate up to $100,000 tax free from their IRA each year.

Planned Giving

As a donor, you are able to direct an executor or trustee to make a gift to Lincoln Literacy through a will or trust. You maintain complete control over the assets during your lifetime, and you can change your instructions for their ultimate distribution at any time.

Tribute Donations

As a commemorative donation, tribute gifts can be made in memory, in honor, or in support of a close friend or family member.

In-kind Donations

In-kind donations include gifting goods, services or time — instead of money. Tangible goods may include things like equipment such as laptops or tablets, books, and/or writing supplies. Goods may also be intangible, such as advertising and professional services. Goods may be gently used or new. Email Donna Stadig at dstadig@lincolnliteracy.org to learn more about Lincoln Literacy's wishlist of items.
